Originally Darwin Project was slated to be shut down entirely toward the end of 2020, but at the last moment was given a reprieve with 2 servers remaining online (EU and NA East) however, this reprieve came with the caveat that it could change at any time if the situation proved to be unviable for the struggling studio. Scavengers Studio have unfortunately moved on from Darwin Project, having been unable to successfully attract a sustainable community or secure the necessary funding to continue development. It’s a unique take on battle royale with a Show Director to influence the match and Spectator Interactions to create a one-of-a-kind game show. In Darwin Project, ten inmates must survive the elements, track each other, fight, craft tools, and use their social skills to be the last one standing.
